White Cat Date: 1929 Signed by the artist in the image in English and Japanese. Matte size: 23.25 x 19.375 inches. Matte window: 17.5 x 12.75 inches. Medium: Japanese woodblock print with gauffrage embossing on the cat (seen in indirect light). Condition: Woodblock print is sealed inside matte and is possibly adhered to board. Some creasing visible in side lighting. Japanese shin hanga woodblock print titled "A Glimpse of Ueno Park" by Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950) dated Showa 12 (1937). First edition impression with "jizure" (self-printed) seal in the upper left margin. The artist's black ink brush signature and red seal is at the lower right with the pencil-signature in the margin below it.
