Korean Joseon Dynasty 19th Century Polychrome Painted Wooden Oil Lamp Stand with attached original cut out Tin type gallery rim Metal top to hold the 19th Century White Porcelain Oil Pot, 7 1/2" high, 4" wide for Hexagonal shape Base, this is the Korean Shamanistic style Polychrome painted Oil Lamp. The condition is as found condition, White Porcelain top of oil pot has hairline on the side, some Polychrome paints are rubbed off and Tin Top is somewhat rusted inside the cut out gallery rim.

A lot of drama in this crispy glazed tsubo deeply scored by the artists fingers, the trailing divets filled with running ash glaze by Murakoshi Takuma, two deep punctures in the side where it sank into the kiln supports, and a large artist performed gold repair where it had adhered to the kiln floor. The gold glimmers from the darkest part of the vessel, where it was charred black from laying in the embers. Amazing boro which used to be noragi (work wear). It is made of many fragments of vegetable indigo dye and hand^spun cotton cloth. It is from cold areas such as Tohoku or Japan Sea Side where cotton could not be cultivated and cotton cloth for kimono was expensive so that people bought fragments which were brought from warm areas such as Shikoku , Kandsai or Chubu districts. Cotton cloth which used to be obi (sash) for a casual kimono. It has hand-drawn tsutsugaki design. It was "Nagoya obi" which was invented in early 20th century to make it easier to tie in the traditional style. In good condition but has folded line in the center (about a half length ) and some stains in the back. Mid 20th century. 32.5cm x 4m28cm

Extremely rare celadon vase with well balance potted and elegant of pear shaped vase, decorated with tubular handles and covered overall with sea green glazed, crackles ware. Found at Kalimantan Island one of the biggest island in the world which called as Borneo in the past. Condition is very good, no any chips, no any cracks and free from any restoration. Antique hardwood tray for serving betel or opium paraphenalia, with metal-banded corners (paktong) and finely inlaid in mother-of-pearl, the sides and skirt with scenes of figures in landscapes and other motifs.
