This is an extremely rare Bhutanese devotional textile with appliqued symbols and a central "Yin-Yang" medallion within an eight-armed wheel of the law. The piece is in outstanding condition, measuring 47" X 29", not including the fringe. Backed with a patterned trade textile. The piece dates to no later than the first quarter of the 20th century. In over 50 years of collecting, this is only the second one of its type that I have seen on the market. A rare opportunity.

An antique Japanese stacking Gyosho Bako (peddler's box) made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron fittings with replacement cord. Seven stacking trays with a bottom eighth section housing an additional tray for products and a drawer where store supplies and money were kept.
