A very Fine Korean Peony Incised Celadon Cup-Stand-12th C.: Korea, Koryo dynasty, 12th century. Finely potted cup stand with flaring saucer is on raised ring foot, decorated with four large single delicately incised peony and are each other around the saucer bordered by bands of key-fret patterns beneath a rich translucent celadon glaze evenly whole body, three spur marks. It’s in very good condition without any damages at all, and measures 13.5cm d. x 5.2cm h.

A small, but rare non-gilt, bronze image depicting one of the twenty-one forms of Taras, probably number fifteen. The Tara is a female Bodhisattva, an esoteric Deity, an emanation of Avalokiteshvara, she is seated in the usual manner with the right foot extending over the base. The right hand holds a vase (kalasha) and the left hand holds the lotus. Tibet, 16th cent. H 8 cm. Condition: Rubbed due to age and handling. Original closing.
