Charming bronze figure of the reclining Buddha. This stage depicting the death of his body and his attainment of the realm of his true self and ultimate enlightenment is called Mahaparinirvana. He is beautifully sculpted with an expression of peace and his body is relaxed. Wonderful attention to detail and overall very pleasing form. Thailand. c.1900. Size: 24" long x 7" deep x 7" high

Signed Zohiko lacquer tea caddy. Decoration of Mt Fuji and pine tree in lake landscape on black ground. Pleasant textures, reminiscent of Zeshin, are imparted to the surface of Fuji-san and the pine tree. Zohiko mark inside the foot. Overall good condition with a couple inconspicuous small chips to the lacquer along the rim of the cover. Height, 3 inches (7.62 cm). Diameter 3 5/8 inches (9.21 cm)

Antique Japanese cloisonne vase with a Chinese archaic style decoration of dragons and other stylized animals on a variegated green ground. There are two decorative bands, one around the neck and one around the body. Silver mark and Ando mark on bottom. It measures 12" tall the base is 5" wide the mouth is 7" wide. Original wooden box (tomobako).

Pair of dark blue cloisonne vases with scenes of birds among reeds. The base and mouth of the vases are bordered with an intricate design. The backs of the vases have a simple depiction of reeds with grasses. They measure 1.75" wide at base 11" tall. The bases are both signed with the same signature. Meiji period, 1868-1912.

Japanese cloisonne small vase with blooming roses. There is a fully bloomed red rose and a small budding red rose. Along the base, there is a blooming white rose with pink edged petals. The body of the vase is a cool white. Taisho period, early 20th century. It measures 1.75" base diameter, 4" widest, 5" tall. Good condition.

A finely cast bamboo shaped vase with applied bamboo leaf branch decoration. This item was made in China for the scholar's table in the 17th Century. A set of Nesting Shino Sake Cups with Dice. They are stamped on the base, and come in three sizes, the accompanying dice imprinted with the various sizes on each side, so a roll of the dice decides your fate in the drinking game. Very unusual and in excellent condition, they are (stacked) 2 x 2 x 1-1/4 inches (5 x 5 x 3 cm).

A small yet lively Chinese jade carving of a mythical beast known as pixiu, a mythical beast that is similar to a winged lion. The pixiu is an important creature that attracts zaiqi or the energy of wealth and retains it while keeping evil spirits at bay, according to traditional fengshui. Age: 19th century. Finely carved foo dog playing with a small ball done in Jade. The fur of the foo dog is carved in stylized scrolled motif with detail work showing each fur. Foo dogs are an auspicious motif in East Asia and often paintings and sculptures are produced. Age: 20th century. Size: height 1.3" width 1.75" length 2.5"

Up for sale is a bolt of antique chinese silk brocade, yardage with roundel of auspicious symbols for Manchu man's robe, 19th or early 20th century. A lot of material, more than enough to make a big robe. 2 groups of 3 small roundels are for making the horse-shoe cuffs as pointed out in the picture. 22nd picture below show a piece of old paper sticks to the corner and a inked seal. Overall is in excellent condition, shinny, no wear, no stain or fading, color is bright. Measurements: 31.5"...

Chinese jade pair of horses with a monkey riding one the back of one of the horses. The imagery used on this Chinese carving can be derived from the noted legend of Journey to the West, where the monkey king is assigned by the Jade Emperor to oversee the heavenly stables, but does mischief in the end. Horses in East Asia represent swiftness and the monkey representing representing foolishness yet with the ability to learn its lesson. Age: 20th century. Size: height 4.25" width 5.5" length 6.5"
