A large Chinese snuff bottle, well hollowed, carved from a celadon jade pebble with brown sections. The front side showing a relief of a monkey at a vine. The stopper is made from turqoise glazed ceramic with bone spoon. Condition: few traces of usage. Dimension: total length: c. 9.3 cm, c. 5.5 cm wide, c. 3.2 cm deep.

This is the indigo-dyed cotton Tsutsugaki Nobori flag dedicated to the Inari Shrine during the Edo period. Among the characters of tsutsugaki, it is an item written with very high technology. This is an indigo-dyed cotton fabric with a very nice texture that was made in 1825 during the Edo period　bunsei 8 years. Hand-spun natural indigo-dyed cotton. A bag which is hand-plaited with indigo dye hemp string. It is carried on the back with various items. 19th to early 20th century. One string is cut. W:15cm, L:62cm

Very large tile in the shape of (and virtually in the size of) a handscroll decorated in underglaze blue with a crashing wave and a full moon. The image is surrounded by borders of geometric flowers and medallions filled with a phoenix. Some of the phoenixes looks left, others look right. Medallions colored in underglaze pink and yellow.

On the back are two ‘loops’ to hang the tile up.
