A very rare Chinese triangular planter with original wooden stand that accents this rarely seen slab construction type porcelain. An archaic style vase with crackle-glaze and simulated metal mounts. On the base is the apocryphal mark of the 15th Century Chenghua emperor but this item was made much later, probably for export, during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874). An 18th Century yellow ground Cloisonne Enamel Alter Vase, in traditional Tibetan Buddhist shape, made during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795). Condition - there are burst bubbles; there is impact damage (see enlargement 8) and there are also some flat chips to the enamel (please see enlargement 10). There is also wear to the gilding on the rim and base. 23cm (9 inches) high; base - 13.4cm (5.25inches).
