Small wine bowl, beautifully enamelled in Famille rose colours. Coffee coloured glaze to the exterior, so called Batavia ware (shipped from the Dutch colony in Indonesia, Batavia, today known as Jakarta). Yongzheng or early Qianlong, first half of the 18th century. Diameter "2½/ 6.6 and height "1½/ 4 cm. Condition: a hairline (cf picture).

Chinese blue and white saucer, Kangxi period, c 1700. “Clobbered” decoration in Imari style (added in Europe for higher retail value) of some of the auspicious Hundred Treasures in iron red and gilt. Diameter "5¼ / 13.2 cm. Condition: a glaze flake to the rim and minimal nicks to foot rim.

A fine and rare Qianlong period porcelain bowl decorated with a rich blue glaze accentuated with gold highlights. Featuring two different scenes of people in a landscape setting, the transparent enamel glazes feel smooth as silk. The bowl was repaired in the 1800's with 3 metal staples and there are 2 rim chips at the break. The repair is excellent, the bowl is solid, and it still retains a nice ring when tapped. The well with an iron red border in European Rococo style and the background with greenish shade (more so than is seen on the photos). Diameter "9/ 23 cm. Two lids decorated in Famille rose colours in the Canton Famille rose or Rose Medallion style. Early 19th century, both with gilt berry handles. One lid is for a large vase or a soup bowl, ecuelle, and the smaller for a cup. Outer diameter of the rims that have to fit into another vessel is "2½/ 6,4 cm and "5½/ 13,7 cm respectively. An attractive antique cone shaped 6-piece Lacquer Food Offering Bowl from Burma, 19th Century. Good overall condition, some wear due to age. This type of handmade lacquer offering bowl has 6 compartments which are removable and were used to make merit by offering various kinds of food to the monks in the temples. A rare antique Cinnabar Red Lacquer Basket from Northern Thailand. 19th Century. A very labour intensive handmade procedure where woven and coiled bamboo and clay formed the base of this container. Furthermore, 6 ribs were bent and curved to form feet at the base. The top was curved and rolled inwards and many coats of lacquer were applied over and over after drying each one. Overall condition good, some wear, size: 17.5 cm. height x 38 cm. top diameter, 24 cm. bottom diameter.
