The gray-blue celadon displays finely crackled glazing with areas slightly darkened by time. A faint pattern made of white inlay can be seen along the upper rim, complimented in several areas by antique kintsugi repairs. The maki-e gold repair at the base—with its design of half waves and half flowering vines—though quite old, seem not quite so old as the repairs along the rim...

The brilliant green color is the result of copper glaze applied to the clay body which is then fired at 1220 degrees C—creating an oxidation reaction...

A Japanese okimono of a tiger, fully carved out of Keyaki (elm) wood with fantastic detailing. The tiger sits hunched over with fixated eyes, fangs out, and tail wrapped tightly against its body. Signature on bottom reads : Chizan December, Meiji 18th year.

Two small drawers line the top portion of the chest. Under this, are three large drawers. The right hand side of the chest has two more small drawers; one above and one below the safe box door...
