Sometimes referred to as a low bowl, these large dishes make wonderful accent pieces weather it is hung on your wall as art or placed on a table as a centerpiece. In very good antique condition, no paint losses, no chips, no repairs.
There are 2 hairline cracks that are in the crazing and do not affect the integrity of the charger. Measures 15 inches diameter, 3" high...

Hidden behind the two sliding doors are two small drawers and a split level shelf. Situated below the doors are two side by side drawers for added storage. The sides of the chest feature cross rib supports and through mortise and tenon joinery for additional strength and support.

SOLD Large Japanese antique sumie dragon flying in clouds scroll. Exuberantly painted on silk with lovely splashes of ink. Brown brocade mounting. Good condition. Signed and sealed signed Hōgen Nyosen, one of the names used by Kanō Chikanobu (1660-1728), a leading Kano-school painter of the eighteenth century Edo. (Hōgen means "dharma eye" and Nyosen means "river-like"). Translation reads that he painted it at the age of 67.
