A Japanese porcelain chawan, tea bowl, decorated with a continuous landscape. The concave foot left unglazed. The rim has a number of kintsugi, repaired chips using lacquer and gold dust.

A similar tea bowl is shown in Sekai Toji Zhenshu, Ceramic Art of the World, Vol 8. Edo Period III, no:240, described as Nakano Kiln, Hirado, mid 18th century.

Japanese lacquered on Ceramic No Mask Obishimi Netsuke, Ca. 1920, Meiji period, 1 3/8" high, 1 1/8" wide, 3/4" deep, reddish brown lacquer on Ceramic with painted gold bull's eye, deep wrinkles on forehead, raised fat cheeks, details are bold and deep. The condition is good.

Japanese carved Wood No Mask Okame Netsuke, Ca. 1920, Meiji, 1 1/2" high, 1 1/4" wide, 5/8" deep, round dot natural wood grain dimples on both chubby cheeks and wrinkles on forehead and face, the condition is good, shows old patina.

Japanese Lacquered Ceramic No Mask Okame Netsuke, Ca. 1900, Meiji period, 1 5/8" high, 1 1/4" wide, 3/4" deep, smiling slender eyes with dimples on both fat cheeks, beautiful face with red small tiny lips. Nicely aged with old patina, no damages.

An antique Japanese 2 section Nihon Matsu Tansu made of Urushi lacquered Keyaki (Zelkova) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Original finish and hand made iron fittings. Features double plum blossom Atari (handle stoppers) above and below the handles with Sho Chiku Bai (Pine tree, Bamboo, and Plum Blossom), lock plates featuring Chrysanthemum knobs. Two small drawers hide behind the hinged door.

An antique Japanese Kuruma Tansu known as a storage chest on wheels made of Keyaki (Zelkova), Kiri (Chestnut) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Hidden behind the two sliding doors are two small drawers and a split level shelf. Situated below the doors are two side by side drawers for added storage. The sides of the chest feature cross rib supports and through mortise and tenon joinery for additional strength and support.

Japanese Edo to Meiji period ten-sided polygon form Imari porcelain vase decorated in the kakiemon style in polychrome enamel and gilt highlights with a prominent flying phoenix bird on the front and three pawlonia leaf groupings extending around the circumference. Ten alternating geometric and stylized floral bands extend vertically up the sloping neck. An alternating scalloped band is above the foot. 19th century. Stands just over 10” high...
