Eight-sided, flared shaped lacquer kobako box, following the decoration on the lid depicting a basket of flowers, composed of peonies and chrysanthemums in gold takamaki-e and hiramaki-e lacquer on a nashi-ji background. The edge is decorated with cherry blossoms in gold and silver takamaki-e. Interior and base in nashi-ji.

Wonderful Japanese Kyo-yaki Tenmoku Chawan by great artist Yoshihide, the 3rd head of Touan. It was made 40 years ago and comes with its originally signed and sealed wooden box.

The Buddhism word "Myoshin" (Mysterious Mind) is written in gold on the bowl.

The Kyoyaki Kiyomizuyaki pottery kiln of Touan was founded in 1922 in Higashiyama Senyuji, Kyoto.

The third family head Yoshihide (born 1949) has learned sculpture and glaze for a long time in Germany...

Sakiori coat whose wefts are strips from old vegetable indigo dye cotton cloth and warps are hemp yarn. Wefts are fine strips comparing with other sakiori items. The short sleeves are for ease of movement, as it is "hamagi", worn at the seaside. In good condition except for two mending patches. The first half of the 20th century. W:85cm, L:92cm

Antique Japanese Maji period handmade miniature marble swirl pattern Tokoname Kyusu - Hana ceramic teapot and cover finely hand enameled in relief with scrolls and flowers.

This is han-jyuban in Edo period(1800-1867). Silk tsumugi itajime of the safflower dye is an arabesque motif in the lion. The shoulder surrounding is scenery of the travel (Tokaido) in Edo period. The katazome is very exact and beautiful. The material of katazome is wool. There are a little color variation and a small hole. The state is very good.
