Morino Taimei was born in Kyoto in 1934, and was first accepted into the Nitten National Exhibition at a relatively young age in 1957 (a year before graduating the Kyoto Municipal University of Fine Art!)...

Imari-style porcelain enamel covered jar decorated with phoenixes and flowers. This is a very rare set as the POT contains two nested cups, which is exceptional. This is not a late "marriage" as the decorations are identical and the volumes consistent.
