An antique Japanese Tansu Chest used for kimono storage and made of Kuri (Chestnut) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware. With Hikutei style handles, the lock plates features bamboo leaves (signifying strength and resilience) and crossed mountain ferns.

An antique Japanese Tansu chest known as a Kotansu made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. Originally used for personal storage, it would make a great accompaniment to a present day desk where drawer storage is needed. All original hand forged iron hardware. An antique Japanese Sendai Tansu kimono chest made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware. Side by side top drawers denotes the matriarch design. Three large drawers, two smaller drawers and a hinged security door that hides two drawers for valuables completes the storage.

Japanese antique ikebana basket for flower arranging. Made of split bamboo and woven in a tight chevron pattern. Standing on six feet, the vertical supports and handle are made of naturally formed bamboo rhizomes. The foot of the basket is hexagonal in form and gradually the body of the basket splays outward ending in a wider rounded rim.
