Japanese Meiji to Taisho period bronze vase with flaring rim decorated with a relief figure of a monkey holding a parasol with a cutout revealing his face looking up at a bird flying overhead. He holds a case with in incised unread signature or inscription. Stands nearly 9 3/8" high. Early 20th century. Very good overall condition with slight staining and a nice patina.
