19th Century Japanese Cast Iron with Gold & Silver Inlay Tea Kettle Tetsubin Signed Ryubundou (Kinryu-Do) at the Lid

It is 9.45 inches (24 cm) tall measured with handle up and 5.11 inches (13 cm) tall measured with handle down by 7.09 inches (18 cm) wide. It is 1950 gram. It will hold 1400 (ml) CC of water.

It is tarnished and has oxidation, rust, rubbing of gold, cut marks at the rim at the underside of the lid, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos)...

This is a wonderful vintage Japanese Raku style tea cup of Ohi ware with an amazing amber glaze which was made about 50-60 years ago by Rakusai Ohi. The seal of 'Ohi' is stamped on the bottom. The original wooden box with the signature and the seal of the artist is also included.

Ohi ware has become well known for its use of Ame-gusuri, or amber glaze. Being a Raku style, it was low-fired and is quite light and soft in the hands...

A fine shoe-shaped - katsugata tea bowl of black Oribe (oribe-kuro chawan), the coarse Mino clay is covered with a thick black glaze, on one side a cartouches featuring irregular strips patterns in iron-brown glaze on creamy ground. Japan, Edo, Meiji period, 19th cent. L 13.5 cm, H 6.5 cm. Condition: Excellent with signs of use and wear.

Morigami Jin bamboo flower basket Hanakago High shape with an extended rim. Made with very thin strips of madake bamboo in different techniques, rattan and lacquer. Insert water container in black lacquered bamboo. Unsigned but it comes with the artist’s old information paper and old Japanese paper box. H 19 cm x Ø 17 cm Perfect. A fine, antique handmade pure silver tea kettle (ginbin) with knobbed surface covering the body. Each knobbed, Arare, is meticulously formed and added. Open-work knob on lid with finely worked details. Signed in the botton: Dai (great) including small pure silver mark (gin). Fitted kiri-box. H 17 cm (with handle), D 13 cm. Weight: 387 g. Condition: Excellent, used item , a slight dent on the left side of the sprout.

A rare bamboo chado tea caddy for powdered green tea, the interior covered with black lacquer. The exterior carved with the four gentlemen of winter: plum, bamboo, chrysanthemum and orchid. Subtly embellished with silver wire. Condition: lower part with a crack, silver wire partially lost, a bit dusty, traces of age. Dimension: height: c. 6.3 cm, diameter: c. 5.7 cm.

Mint and large Japanese pottery tea bowl of Hagi Ware, made by one of the most famous and creative potters of Japan, Seigan Yamane. Light brown clay is coated with colorful glazes.

Note: This is a special work by him. He made only one piece with this design.

Seigan Yamane was born in 1952, and started making Hagi ware in 1987. And then, he started his own pottery in 1992 and has ever been awarded a lot of prizes for his great work...

Decoration in red, black rose, pink, green, blue and yellow of flowers, butterfly and other motifs on blue background. The jar with both lid and cover. Late Meiji era (1868 - 1912). Good condition. An antique Japanese bamboo basket made for Ikebana flower arranging. Depicts an archaic Chinese bronze vessel with flared open mouth design with side handles. The weave of the body suggests the pattern that would have imbued if this were a bronze form. Base is a six pointed foot with maker's sign that reads Sarihen.
