19th Century Japanese Cast Iron with Gold & Silver Inlay Tea Kettle Tetsubin Signed Ryubundou (Kinryu-Do) at the Lid

It is 9.45 inches (24 cm) tall measured with handle up and 5.11 inches (13 cm) tall measured with handle down by 7.09 inches (18 cm) wide. It is 1950 gram. It will hold 1400 (ml) CC of water.

It is tarnished and has oxidation, rust, rubbing of gold, cut marks at the rim at the underside of the lid, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos)...

This is a wonderful vintage Japanese Raku style tea cup of Ohi ware with an amazing amber glaze which was made about 50-60 years ago by Rakusai Ohi. The seal of 'Ohi' is stamped on the bottom. The original wooden box with the signature and the seal of the artist is also included.

Ohi ware has become well known for its use of Ame-gusuri, or amber glaze. Being a Raku style, it was low-fired and is quite light and soft in the hands...

An antique Japanese bamboo basket made for Ikebana flower arranging. Depicts an archaic Chinese bronze vessel with flared open mouth design with side handles. The weave of the body suggests the pattern that would have imbued if this were a bronze form. Base is a six pointed foot with maker's sign that reads Sarihen.
