Japanese Taisho to Showa period bulbous form Satsuma vase decorated in polychrome enamel and gilt highlights with flowering branches draping from the top set against a creamy white Satsuma earthenware background with splashes of gold. A dense floral collar encircles the neck below an everted, flattened mouth covered in gilt. The base holds a "Taniguchi" mark. Dates circa 1920s to 1930s. 6 1/4" high x about 6 3/4" diameter.
