A large 16th Century Ming Dynasty deep dish painted in underglaze blue with grape and vine decoration to the centre and with alternating flowers and buddhist emblems around the rim. The underside is painted with elongated prunus branches under the rim and with stylized peach branches to the inside. The base is unglazed. This item was made in China, probably for export, in the second half of the 16th Century, circa 1550-1600...

Beautiful mother of pearl inlaid in hardwood. The arms are inlaid with a scroll design. The back of the chair is inlaid with an elegant battle scene with men on horseback and a fort. The reverse of the chair is inlaid with flowers. The seat has 4 petal pattern at each corner. The legs, arms, and frame of the chair are beautifully carved with bats, plums and a scrolling pattern. Measures 41" tall, seat measures 16" wide, 17.5" tall.

Very charming three figure ensemble of a king with two female attendants. One attendant holds a fan that moves. The male figure's head nods. They wear white and pink clothes with gold details. Measures 8" wide at base.

Beautiful early 20th century jade flask with fitted cap. There is an iris on both front and back of the flask carved in low relief with scrolling pattern. Small carved dragons on both sides with jade rings. Measures 10" long by 3" wide.

Delicate and rare Chinese Porcelain Polychrome Cachepot Planter with matching Base Saucer. Both have 4 Character Tao Kuang Period Markings (1822-1850). Planter has 2 holes for drainage. This rare piece, exquisitely suited for an orchid in bloom or special small plant comes with it's own fine and original hand carved rosewood stand as illustrated. Antique Chinese scroll painting of 5 large carp swimming in pond with lotus and other water plants. Painted in ink and light colors on paper. Artist signature and seal by Li Fang Yin (1696–1755), known as one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou. Inscription reads "Qianlong 8th Year, third month, Li, Fangying of Qingjiang". A colorful back buzi with a bear for a man, denoting the fifth military rank. Silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic threads and painted details, the background covered by peacock feathers, which rarely survived to the present days. Blue silk lining. Reference: Ladder to the Clouds, Jackson & Hugus Berkeley 1999, page 197 - No. 13.018 very similar badge. Condition: fine, minimal traces of wear. Dimensions: 29 cm high x 31.6 cm wide.
