The design of butterflies and melons is seldom encountered on Chinese porcelain, found only on a few Qianlong pieces. This shaped dish I feel is from the early 19th century but the ‘orange peel’ surface of the porcelain is often found on Qianlong export pieces. Like the Qianlong painted melons these have a pronounced ‘spotting’ in either famille rose or gold enamel on the fruits.

Chinese painting using a calming combination of colors in soft black and grey, pink, and light blue. Two small birds resembling chickadees gaze upwards at pink morning glories with large, black leaves and dangling vines. A tiny red ladybug crawls along one of the flower stems. Signed by the artist. Chinese porcelain snuff bottle with blue cobalt underglaze designs of a flying dragon and a serpent in rolling waves below, gazing at each other. There are clouds and red/green glaze flames. It has a red agate topper, and its bottom has an illegible red marking. 19th century Size: 3.5" height, 1" width

Chinese jade snuff bottle that has been expertly carved into a gourd, with vines and large leaves coiled around. A butterfly has been carved near the base, a symbol for longevity, beauty, and elegance. The bottle is specially carved with a small hole near the opening so that it may be hung from a necklace or belt. It has a lovely green jade stopper. 19th century Size: 3" length, 1.25" width

Chinese carved boxwood figurine depicting the Song poet and painter Su Dongpo dressed as a scholar and enjoying his ink stone. Fixed on a wooden base. Condition: fine, some patina and tiny stains. Dimension: total height: 18.1 cm.

Heavily potted glazed porcelain. Nice burial condition with some discolouring in the glaze. H. 21,5 cm. Song Dynasty (960-1279).

Carved in the shape of a gourd. The silver with fine engraving. H. 8,3 cm. Excellent condition, nice patina.

Green jadeite ring with areas of beautiful deep green, set in an 18K yellow gold ring with incised lines that come to a triangular point. The inside of the band is inscribed with Chinese markings that have been partially worn away from use. 20th century Size: 2.25" length of entire ring, jadeite stone approx. .75" height, .5" width
