Antique Chinese jadeite carving of a young boy kneeling on his stomach, holding a small dish. He has a pleased expression with wonderfully carved fingers and toes, etched hair, and a smooth form. Size: 1.25" height, 2.75" length

An expertly hand carved dark salmon coral pin dating to the early part of the 20th century, 1920 - 1930s. Using the natural formation of the branch coral, the artist created a tree trunk with a chrysanthemum and 2 buds. In Chinese culture the chrysanthemum symbolizes long life, is one of the 4 Chinese seasonal flowers, and is often associated with nobility. In excellent condition, this rare beauty measures about 1.5" high.

Another Tea kettle from our tetsubin collection: a cast iron Tea kettle tetsubin from China, marked 'Kangxi, 40th year (1700) and the name of a maker 'Kichinichi zo'.

It has some traces of age and some rust inside. Great item with sophisticated atmosphere.

A rare carved jade of an old man with a beard. Half of the jade on top is translucent and the bottom bottom half opaque. It is from the Hunan culture which was absorbed by the Han as their control spread over the whole of China. Size: H. 3.8cm. W. 1.3cm. See last three photos.

The Taoist immortal Liu Hai is performing a handstand on his three-legged toad. Condition: leg of the animal and foot of Liu Hai with small loss, a crack. Dimension: 9.5 cm high.

Qing dynasty jade libation cup with three rows of raised boss pattern around cup on a raised foot with two carved handles on either side. Fitted to a wooden base.

Chinese bronze shi (or foo) lion seal. Four character seal mark. Good condition. Height, little more than 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm)

Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain oval shape Barber's Bowl, 12 1/2" wide, 9 1/2" deep, 2 3/8" high, early 1820's, with overglaze Famille Rose flowers in the center inside the deep bowl. All the decorations are done overglaze enamel on the orange peel like surface and highlighted with gold. There are two(2) holes on each side on the bottom rim area, to put the cords through the holes to hang on the wall. The condition is good.

Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain Charger, 1780 - 1800, 13 1/2" diameter, 1 1/4" high, with overglaze Famille Rose color of large Peony flowering branch in the center, bordered within seven(7) small flowering branches decorated on the wide rim area. There are some wears on the over glaze decoration and also in the highlighted gold decoration. No damages, no restorations.

The Chinese people smoked both opium (thanks to the British) and tobacco. This antique pipe was made and used by the ethnic minority of the mountain region of SW China.

Chinese export porcelain model of Zhang Guolao, one of the eight Taoist immortals. He is holding a bamboo drum and riding on a mule. Dating to the late Qianlong period. With later wooden stand. Condition: fine, except the inserted ears of the animal are lost. Dimension: 22.5 cm high x 16.2 cm long (without stand).

Authentic antique, 18th - 19th century, Tibetan belt pouch (coin purse) composed of leather, silver and brass. The front richly decorated with silver and brass, and studded with co turquoises.  

MEASUREMENTS: Overall length of the front silver frame: 11.5  cm (4 1/2 in).

18th Century Chinese Yongzheng period Famille Rose Porcelain large deep Charger/Platter, between 1723-1736, 15 1/4" diameter, 2 1/4" high, with large Peony flowering branches in the center bordered by high and wide rim decorated with more Peony floral design, highlighted with gold. The decorations are done by raised low relief overglaze enamel and emphasize for the each design, strokes and colors with black fine lines. The condition is good, no damage or restoration.

DESCRIPTION: An unusual and quite old (18th C.) copper box toggle in the form of a peach, the Chinese symbol of longevity. Probably used as both a toggle and tobacco container, the two halves have a tightly fitting overlapping seal, with two loops forming the hinge at the stem point. This large solid copper toggle has a rich, aged patina and is in fine condition with minor signs of wear, as to be expected.
