Chinese Yuan / Early Ming Dynasty Underglazed Cover (for a "Yuxi" jar)

This impressive cover for a large jar, probably a granary, was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) or possibly the Ming Dynasty. It has an underglazed decoration and was made at the kilns at Yuxi in Yunnan province, one of the first places in China where underglazed blue & white ware was produced. It is decorated with a basic floral pattern.
