Classic heavy silk or cotton and silk blend fabric black cheongsam or qipao top with blue silk lining, circa mid 20the century. Perfect condition, and clean. Tailor made and all hand sewn. Dimensions in last enlargement.

Good Bhutan hand spun blanket. I bought this from a Bhutanese woman sitting at the bottom of the trail to original Tiger Nest, in 1995. Simple but stunning wool embroidered floral and foliate medallions. Made with soft wool (very warm), comprised of two panels, perfect condition. Width: 93cm/37.5in and Length: 158cm/62in.

The three panels are very large; together they covered an area of ​​over 11m² (each panel 295x125cm), making this a truly exceptional piece of embroidery. Birds and butterflies hovering around bamboo are embroidered on a yellow silk background. The embroidery stitches are very small and stitched with the utmost precision. The beautifully drawn subjects, depicted in flight, are vibrant and vibrant...

The embroidery depicts a procession, likely a wedding one. The sumptuous garments, the profusion of jewelry, the standards, and the parasols should herald an imperial wedding. The quality of the weaving is superb; the stitches are tiny and astonishingly regular. This is an exceptionally excellent embroidery, created in one of the best weaving workshops in southern China...

Chinese antique dragon robe made of sheer blue and black silk for hot summer weather. Embroidered with a total of 16 five-clawed dragons: 7 on the front (including small dragons around the neck), 4 on the sides, and 4 on the back, with a hidden dragon on the inside when the front is opened. The dragons float on a sky of ruyi-shaped clouds and bats. The bottom of the robe is embroidered with colorful lishui waves crashing against a mountain. Long black sleeves end with "horse-shoe" cuffs...

Chinese antique silk robe for a lady. Wide edging of black silk embroidered with tiny flowers and butterflies in blue and purple. A pink/white ground with subtle leiwen cloud and thunder pattern and plum blossoms. The inside is lined with a vibrant apple-green silk.

Chinese Qing dynasty silk brocade lady’s winter coat covered overall in a dense pattern of small phoenix and dragon roundels among clouds and precious objects all set against a purple ground. The center front opening holds five metal buttons. High collar and wool boucle lining. Late 19th to early 20th century. Measures about 29 1/2" long by 51” from sleeve tip to sleeve tip. Very good overall condition. From an old Tucson, Arizona estate.

A pair of tiny shoes for a Han Chinese lady with bound feet, dating to the Qing dynasty. Made of nightblue silk and cotton, embroidered with flowers in satin stitch. Cotton lining, soles and heels. Condition: fine, only few traces of age. Provenance: from a Swiss missionary. Dimension: total length: c. 15 cm, height: c. 10.5 cm.

A pair antique Chinese sleeve bands, sewn together and mounted on cardboard. The beige silk ground lavishly embroidered in Peking knot, some detalis in satin stitch and couched metal threads. Showing immortals in a landscape with rocks and pagoda. Dimension: c. 57 cm x 14.3 cm. Condition: fine, faded, some patina, few tiny stains.

Chinese Mandarin Civil ranking Crane with red head embroidered with gold and silver thread, 19 1/2" diameter, Ca. early 1900's, very fine work, backing is dark blue silk. Gold Red Head Crane indicate the high ranking government officer. The embroidery work is very fine and exquisite. The condition is excellent, dark blue backing has little stains, and stained fabric tag with numbers looks older than entire gold and silver embroidery work in front.

Lovely old Afghan Turkmen chuval/torba (door or floor cushion section) wool on wool weaving, all natural dyes circa 80 years old. Minor restoration around the edges but over all very good condition with an intricate pattern. Dimensions 120cm x 39cm.

Chinese embroidered silk vest with dragons rank badge This antique Chinese silk dragon court vest is couched with silk thread embroidery designs of dragons, birds, flowers, clouds etc. and accents of gold bouillion thread. Vest shows some minimal wear and is in overall good condition. The vest dates to the mid 19th century and has a front rank badge with bird facing the wearers left shoulder. This indicates that the original owner was the wife of a civil official...

Vintage red bride’s wedding jacket with embroidered auspicious symbols (phoenix, dragon, and mandarin ducks). This would date to 1970/1980. Here are a few pulled gold embroidery threads so care needs to be taken. It is fastened with a metal zipper. The Dimensions are -shoulder width: 37 cm/14.5in, mid width: 40cm/15.8in, bottom width 47cm/18.5in, and front length (top of shoulder to bottom): 57cm/22.5in.
