Chinese late Qing dynasty rectangular form lacquered wood scholar's desk tray or serving tray, each side with two long pierced openings to the upright walls, each corner with a low raised foot. Late 19th to early 20th century. 13 1/8” x nearly 8 3/4” x 1 1/2” high. Very good, solid overall condition with minor separations in the wood. From the estate of Gerhard Lohmeier, a Diplomat at the German Embassy in Beijing from 1985 to 1989.
