A poem written in the upper right hand corner says: 细竹千竿満地 which translates as "A thousand stalks of slender bamboo cover the ground". The seal is a bit hard to make out but appears to read: 鄭 Zhèng. That character seems to also appear towards the end of the text. The next character after it and in the seal is 名 (míng, 'name')...

Inlaid materials include bone, stone, lacquer and shell. The poem translates as: "Birds flying in a line, the tree is blooming, the blooming flower is falling to the ground, the spring mountain, one group of birds fly over the valley, sound makes a lonely sound"...

Large Qing dynasty Chinese porcelain water dropper in the form of a Buddhist lion dog crouching with one paw resting on a ball. The top of the head has a large opening for the addition of water. A small hole in the mouth functions as the dropper. The figure is covered in a cream and brown colored glaze. The unglazed flat, smooth base holds a single character. This is a fairly large example measuring about 4 1/4" long x 3” high x 2” wide. Late 19th to early 20th century...

One side, a sage or scholar with long staff. On another side, a flower vase on a stand with a bird on a branch. Another side is carved with a blossoming branch. And one side has a design of a bat.
