Large Chinese Yuan / Early Ming Dynasty Longquan Celadon Dish

This large and attractive porcelain dish was made during the 14th century at the Longquan kilns in Zhejiang province. It is "heavily-potted" with repeated incised vertical lines around the cavetto. It is coated in thick green glaze of very good colour. The unglazed recessed base has fired to a reddish-brown colour.
