Fine & Rare Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Kraak Porcelain Dish

This very rare and unusual fine quality moulded "kraak" porcelain dish was made toward the end of the Wanli reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty at the famous Jingdezhen kilns. It has a scalloped cavetto and the underglaze pattern is a deep blue. The central design features a butterfly and a grasshopper on a rock within an attractive landscape...

Antique Chinese Guan Style Ware Plate. Shallow bowl form with decorative foliate rim. Pale celadon glaze with traditional and highly prized crackle. The foot on the underside has been left unglazed but the inset area of the bottom is treated with the same pale celadon crackle glaze.

Antique Chinese pair of porcelain candlesticks in the form of two European children. The two curly blonde haired babies sit, each with a peach in one hand and balancing a candle holder on top of their head with the other. Dressed in green and pink gowns. Painted with pink cheeks and cherub-like expressions.

Interior also glazed. 118x50x75 mm Good condition, slight usual wear, no cracks or restoration. Cooking defects at the corners of the base. Possibly Jun with oil spot of the song period.
