Fine & Rare Chinese Han Dynasty Burnished Pottery Cup

This fine & rare pottery cup was made some 2,000 years ago during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220), or possibly a little earlier. It is made from a fine-grained grey pottery. This inner mouth and outer surface have a smooth burnished surface making it a real pleasure not only to view, but also to handle. In places to the surface are limescale-type deposits from its long burial.

A choice pair of decorative pottery figures of House Attendants, dating to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644.
