Rare Chinese Western Han Dynasty Iron Chisel / Axe Head (206 BC - AD 8)

This iron axe head or chisel dates to the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). Surviving iron objects of this age are very rare. This example does of course have rust and corrosion, there is a small part missing at the open end together with some cracks, but it is free from restoration or repair. There are also ancient remains of the original wooden shaft inside the end of the axe head...

. Unique collection of 6 different projectile bolts/points from the Warring States to Han Dynasty. These are in very fine condition for the exception of #5 (noted in enlargement #6), where there is old tiny breakage on one tine. Scale noted in enlargements.

Good Han Dynasty bronze bowl with molded taotie masks, there is an epoxy repair noted in the last two enlargements, but otherwise very good condition- considering it is 2000 years old. D: 15.3cm/6in and H: 7cm/2.8in.

This is an authentic bronze Halberd (often referred to as a "Ge" blade) dating to the Warring States Period some 2500 years ago. The piece measures 9-1/2" in length and is 4-3/8" in height. The piece features a full-length snarling tiger on both sides, quite strongly defined on one face, somewhat worn on the other, as can be seen in the photos. The blade has an exceptional malachite patina and still retains a very sharp edge. A substantial and quite rare example...
