Japanese silver wire cloisonne vase. Green, aubergine, coral, violet, white, yellow, dark blue and black enamel decoration of bird and flowers all on a light blue enamel background. Two faint, tight hairlines (in the blue enamel background) issue each about a half inch from different petals of the topmost peony blossom decoration, otherwise good. Height 7 1/4 inches (18.42 cm)

Semi-eggshell thin cup and saucer by Imura, Japan, c 1920. Decoration in black, gilt and orange-red of fans in the Kutani style. Signed Nihon (Japan) Yokohama Imura Tsukuru. Height of cup "2¼/ 6 cm, and diameter of saucer "4¾/ 12 cm. Condition: a glaze bubble under the enameled decoration. Saucer with a small nick to the rim (cf. photo).

He is easily identifiable by his elephant's head and four arms, two of which are shown holding his own broken tusks, and one of which is grasping his nose. Balinese Mask of an old man or Topèng Tua, used in the art form of the Topeng dance drama, which came about in the 15th century in Bali and Java.
