A small celadon box by in the shape of an elephane by Akiyama Yo enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Zo Kogo. Kogo are used to carry Shaped Incense. It is 2 x 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches (6 x 5 x 6.5 cm) and is in excellent condition.

Jagged bands of color like the climbing mountains surrounding Kyoto rise up the sides of this majestic work by Miyashita Zenji enclosed in the original signed wooden box exhibited at the 5th Kyoto Modern Ceramic Artists Exhibition in 1985. It is 14 x 17 x 37.5 cm (5-1/2 x 7 x 15 inches) and in excellent condition. It is a reasonably early work in this saidei oeuvre of the artist.

A spectacular work by Tsujimura Shiro enclosed in the original signed wooden box featuring a dark burn down one side, as if water has been pouring from the rim for centuries over the same place. The rough clay studded with inclusions and Shiseki is everything we have come to expect from this potter. The vase is 9 inches (23 cm) tall, 5 inches (12.5 cm) diameter and in excellent condition.

The great artist Choraku III made a lot of fantastic chawans - for me this is SURELY HIS BEST: a mysterious Aka Raku Chawan with Buddhist symbols in white slip, which are drawn on the outside of the bowl, slightly deformed and perfectly balanced, definitely one of a kind!

With every turn of the bowl, a new face is shown, offering many opportunities for contemplative experiences. As with many red Choraku tea bowls, the light white over glaze gives a misty and almost ghostly feeling ...

A large and stupendous glass vase with a wide mouth decorated with deep, green abstract bands on gold foil by glass artist Tabuchi Koseki (b. 1932). Chinese large jumu (elm) wood cabinet with natural light finish. The interior is outfitted with shelves for a TV and components. Doors on wooden dowels pocket in for a nice clean appearance. Sliding panels in the back interior allow for cords. Four interior drawers are perfect for storing CDs and DVDs. There are another two drawers on the lower exterior.
