Sold Brilliantly colored riders charge into rushing water on the gold leaves of this 18th century six panel screen relating the famous charge at the Battle of Uji Bridge. Tatsuna and Kagesue charge forward into the waters riding toward the enemy lined up on the opposite shore of the Uji River; the skeleton of the bridge visible in the back-ground. Spoils of Time
sold A simple, small but stout iron tsuba. The Myochin line of metal workers were armor makers who also produced tsuba. The simple decoration upper-right here could be a flower head or a snowflake. Udenuki-ana appear lower left. Good condition. Height 2 3/4 inches (69 cm), Width 2 9/16 inches (65 cm), and 6/32 of an inche (5 mm) thick.
A blue and celadon glazed porcelain group with remains of original cold painting. Depicting the two Taoist immortals He and He, one holding a lotus. Condition: chipped hand, back with a hairline, some firing defects and cracks. Dimension: 12.8 cm high.
A Thai cast bronze figure of the crowned Buddha Shakyamuni, with serene facial features, holding his hands in dhyana mudra. Condition: no base, later added core material. Dimension: 16.4 cm high x 9.6 cm wide x 4.1 cm deep.

Price on Request Rare and beautiful pair of antique imperial Chinese lacquer storage trunks. Made of wood and lacquered with highly detailed gold patterns of flowers and dragons on a black lacquer ground. The top of each trunk is lacquered with scenes of pavilions and figures among pine tress. Areas of woven bamboo work are framed with red lacquered carved wood. Each trunk is attached to a built on elegant lacquered wood stand. Provenance: from the imperial household of Emperor Puyi.
