Wood carving seated image of Shugendo mountain priest as 'Yamabushi' (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamabushi), once enshrined at kamidana household altar of esoteric Buddhist believer's house in Shonai region, Japan. Two daggers incised with dragon, phoenix each dagger and seven stars incised on both daggers, and 4 characters and 2 characters on each dagger. Both daggers housed in a wood and metal single sheath. It is in very good condition with metals patinated. It measures 36cm with in a sheath, or 34cm only dagger.

This large porcelain dish is attractively decorated in underglaze blue, the design featuring pagodas and a blossoming tree in a rocky landscape. Japanese 19th Century Blue & White Porcelain Dish (with mark)

This porcelain dish is heavily-potted and attractively decorated in underglaze blue. The central design features a bird standing on a rock overlooking a mountainous landscape. Surrounding this, and to the underside, are village buildings within a mountainous landscape, viewed from a "bird's eye" perspective. Within the footrim on the underside is a four-character mark, together with typical small firing spur marks.
