Antique Thai Iron Standing Buddha, early Ayutthaya period 14th century, heavy oxidation but still delightful. The right hand is raised from the elbow in Abhaya with the hand in Gyan mudra, the left is holding possible a sacred medicine ball. The figure is on tiered square stand, and stands in a thin delicate pose.

Large pale green glazed plate with incised decoration, most likely from the Thantwe kiln near present day Rangoon, Burma. Excavated from the Tak Burial site near, Mae Sot along the Thai/Burmese border. This can be reliably dated to least 14th/16th centuries due to other known and datable ceramics from China and Thailand that were found in the same strata. A Very Fine Korean Buncheong White Slip Inlaid Bowl-15th C, : Korea, Joseon dynasty, 15th century. The deep bowl on short raised ring foot with everted rim, decorated in inlaid white slip with a central medallion of floral heads and dots surrounded by a narrow band of stylized double rings and wide band of “rope curtain” design, the exterior decorated en suite beneath a pale celadon glaze. It’ in good condition but some chips to foot-rim, it measures 19 cm d. x 8 cm h.

A beautifully modeled white ware spouted ewer complete with original top. Elegant and intact, this piece measures 9-1/2" in height, with the top in place. The color is difficult to capture accurately, as there is the faintest hint of pale celadon color in the glaze. No repairs or restoration, no flaking of the glaze. A beautiful example of this early ware.

Song - Yuan dynasty longquan celadon large plate with twin fish motif, good condition size: 21.5 cm diameter.

Tokoname jars were made by piling coils of clay, smoothing the interior and exterior surfaces, and allowing the clay to dry before adding another section. The wide rim and mouth were then formed on a potter’s wheel and added to the top of the jar. Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Moulded Dehua Qingbai Porcelain Box

This covered box was made during the 13th - 14th century, most likely at the Dehua kilns in Fujian province. Both upper and lower parts are decorated with moulded scrolling patterns. The inner and outer surfaces are coated in a very finely-crackled qingbai glaze that has just a hint of blue. The slightly concave base remains unglazed.
