£420.00 A set of five Japanese porcelain bowls of tapering square form, the corners with shallow concave chamfers, decorated with alternating panels of flowers and Ho-0 birds.
Each base has a ‘Fuki Choshun’ four-character mark in underglaze blue. Two similar bowls are illustrated in the Catalogue of the Shibata Collection, #2673 and #2674. Dated to 1690~1730. Approximately 9.5 cm square at the mouth and 6.8 cm high. One with a little very light age related non-stained crazing on... A good Chinese Yuan dynasty Dehua Blanc de Chine molded floral cup with unglaze mouth rim and thin wall. Dia. 7cm. Condition: no chip, no restore, in good condition as shown. Sold, thank you! A striking floral image decorates this odd shaped guinomi made to not be put down by Mizumoto Kayoko enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Obana Guinomi. An Obana is a male flower, or a flower with only stamens and no pistils; lacking female reproductive function. The cup is 6.5 x 12 x 7 cm (2-1/2 x 4-1/2 x 3 inches) and is in excellent condition, dating from last year.

A large and rare example of a pottery model of a sedan chair made during the 16th century (c.1550 - 1600), made from a hard creamy-white pottery and coated in the "fahua" palette of complimentary aubergine and turquoise coloured glazes.
