Tall Chinese Qing dynasty baluster form porcelain vase covered overall with a thick red Langyao (also called sang-de-boeuf or oxblood) glaze that thins to white at the rim, drips down into the interior top of the trumpet mouth, and pools unevenly around the irregular foot rim. The base is raised upon a set-in foot. A grayish white crackled glaze base is visible in the interior and on the recessed base. The glaze is permeated by craquelure and tiny bubbles that impart a somewhat golden textura...

Japanese early 20th century iron kettle by KIRYUDO. This pot is done with a pair of crane on a pine tree design in low relief on the front side of the kettle. The handle on the lid is done in the shape of a pine cone. KIRYUDO is done in chop mark on the back side of the kettle along with some other illegible characters. This iron pot measures 9 3/4" tall (from base to top of upright handle), 7 1/2" wide and 7 1/8" deep.
