An ornate silver betel box with open-work patterns of curling tendrils. The body and lid each have five panels with high relief work depicting 10 different scenes of ancient Burma. The top of the domed lid has a lotus blossom. The bottom is hammered with the date and occasion for the piece.

A framed pair of Southeast Asian palm leaf manuscripts, each side covered in gold leaf, with ornate filigree in red, and scenes of dancing people and beasts. With lines of text written in black lacquer pigment. These manuscripts have two holes each to be strung and bound together as a book. Professionally displayed suspended in glass and framed.

An interesting Cambodian cast bronze statuette representing the Hindu god Vishnu standing with his 4 arms. The bronze bears an excellent original patina which confirms the dating, 12th century Khmer art.Typical clothing and jewelry. The Asian Art Museum houses a superb similar statue, a photo of which is attached. A wooden plinth was made around 1900 to stabilize the statue. Height without the wooden base: 115 mm (4.5 inches).

Antique Burmese/Thai religious text in book form. Written in ink on paper, folded and and bound so that the pages accordion and are covered with writing on both front and back. The covers of the book are embossed and lacquered with red covered with gold which has gained a lovely patina over time.

A pair of Indonesian lamps comprised of wood temple carvings and Mica shades that were later added. The faces have carved leaves while the eaves have leaves that cascade down.

Covered vase, probably an urn, either funerary or ritual. It is carved from a single piece of very dark reddish-brown almost black hardwood. The lid adapts perfectly to the receptacle which required perfect mastery because the shape is wavy. On the "neck" of the lid are traced wide curves like so many necklaces on a female neck. This urn can be used with advantage to present jewelry. Here we have put as an example a Chinese necklace from the Neolithic period which is not for sale...

Serene Thai Lanna Buddha, gilt wood, sitting on stepped and draped Throne, base shows age, but Buddha itself is in very good condition. This Position of Hands, i.e. in deep meditation, now rarely found in this size statue.

Gilded Wooden Cupid Angels, Baroque, fine work, found in Burma, but with obvious European influence as Burma was a British colony at that time, mounted on gilt antique wooden base/stands. 19th Century, size of angel only: H. 33cm x W.29 cm x D. 21cm including wings (with base: 46x21x21 excluding wings), good condition considering age, some inconsequential aging and very rare, price shown is per angel, not the pair. Refined Bronze Shan State Buddha, Burma. The bottom of this statue had uncut rubies and British/Burmese silver coins hidden in it's base. Back side/base shows some cracks, otherwise good condition, size: H. 16cm x W. 7cm x D. 4.5cm
