A finely done Japanese bamboo basket used as a flower container made by the second Shochikusai. The handle is done in a way as if the vine appears to grow out from the basket and fine strips of bamboo are woven throughout the vase. This is a tea bowl of Japanese OHI pottery ware, which was made about 50 years ago by famous Chozaemon Ohi (1901-1986).

It has a fantastic black glaze. The work and the box has the sign of the 9th. Chozaemon Ohi. His name is inherited from the Edo era.

The Ninth Chozaemon was the son of the Eigth Chozaemon who had been making tea utencils from age sixteen until his death at age eighty-six...

Beautiful framed Japanese urushi-e painting by artist Hakuo Iriyama (born 1904 in Shirone, Niigata). Urushi-e is a style of Japanese art in which colored lacquers are used, along with mica and metal elements as accents. This piece depicts Mount Fuji, raised against a deep blue background, with etched rock formations in bright gold and orange lacquer at its peak, fading to brown lacquer with silver mica-powder mists floating around it...

Japanese deep red or burgundy colored molded glass tile bracelet. Set in silver metal, the glass tiles feature a floral design. In excellent condition, the bracelet measures 6.75" long. Each tile measures about 1" x .75". Pictures don't do justice to this bracelet. If you think you like it, then you'll be very pleased you you receive it. You won't be disappointed.

Oversized limited-edition Japanese "sosaku hanga" woodblock print by Tamami Shima (1937-1999) titled "April Forest." The bottom margin is pencil-signed, titled in kanji, dated 1962, and numbered 67/100. Paper: 22"V x 15 7/8"H (image: 19 7/8"V x 13 3/4"H). Very good overall condition.
