One cylindrical with a warm terra cotta colored glaze with white dripping on a coarse, light buff body burnt to an earthy orange where the bottom meets the glaze - the ring foot notched beside an impressed, three character artist's mark. A fine 20th century studio lacquer charger. Persimmon orange-red lacquer with decoration of peony blossoms incised to an under layer of black lacquer in the Kamakura manner (and possibly from one of the ateliers in that town which can still be seen and visited when trekking up the main street to the temples.) Gilt lacquered rim. Black lacquer also singularly exposed inside the foot rim. Good condition with light wear. Diameter 15 1/2 inches (39.37 cm)

Antique Japanese vase decorated with scroll vine motifs around the mouth of the vase and animal like figures near the mid-section of the vase. The glaze used for this piece is emulation Jun ware which was developed in the Song Dynasty in China and in Japan, Song dynasty style glazes captivated connoisseurs and tea masters. The popularity and preferences of these glaze still continue to this day. Age: 19th-20th century. Size: Height 14" Diameter 7"

A pair of large Seto tall baluster vases each decorated with scattered Peonies and Chrysanthemums reserved against an elaborate scrolling arabesque ground with moulded shishi ring faux handles. Each vase measures 37cm high, just over 14.5 inches high. The diameter of the mouth of the vase is 11cm, just over 4.25 inches, and the base measures just under 11cm in diameter, 4.25 inches. A beautiful antique Japanese Imari ware bowl. The bowl is decorated with motifs of phoenixes, plum flowers, scrolling vines, peony like patterns, and other geometric patterns. The bowl contains a pomegranate symbol on the bottom. Age: Taisho-Showa Period Size: Diameter 10.25" Height 4.2"

Lovely black lacquer Japanese vase with 2 crickets. On the back side is a red dot (2 gold dots are on the front), a very interesting and subtle design element. Note in the photos, there is some minor chipping around base. Measures: 8.5" high, 4.25" across shoulder.

Japanese Kiri wood and lacquered floral decorated Hibachi with copper lining, 9 1/4" high, 10 1/4" diameter-outside, and 5" high, 8 1/4" diameter-inside polished copper liner, with 3" wide Lacquer band on the lower area. Low relief lacquer decoration on both sides. The condition is good, one small area about 1" long old separation in the natural Kiri wood.

Japanese large Wood square Hibachi with original Copper Lining, 7" high-outside and 5 1/2" inside, 17 1/2" square-outside and 16 1/2" square top rim, 11 1/2" square inside copper lining, with cut out handle on both side, original blue cotton fabric on the bottom. The beautiful bold looking grain of wood is noticeable and all original condition, no major damage except old copper lining is somewhat stained.

Antique Japanese tea kettle made with a half bronze and half copper body, with raised studding along the middle where the two components meet and along its handle. Its lid is bronze, with a cylindrical finial. 19th Century Meiji Period Size: 9" height, 8" width

Antique Japanese beige ceramic crackleware satsuma pilgrim vase, Meiji period 1868-1912. It is beautifully painted with two different scenes. The front and reverse are painted with a wheat plant in a field of chrysanthemums. The sides have cherry blossoms blooming in a stylized wave pattern. The mouth of the vase is square shaped, the base is rectangular. It measures 10" tall, 7.25" widest 2" deep.

Set of Eight(8) Japanese different shades of Gold Maki lacquered covered bowls, Ca. late Meiji early 1900, 3 1/4" high include top or cover, 4 1/2" diameter top rim. Raised low relief design of Gold Maki Lacquered Ferns and other flowering plants behind rock garden in early spring on dark chocolate color of lacquer on wood. Japanese lacquered on Reed Kimono Tray, Ca. 1940's, 26" x 16", 4" high, top trim is almost 1/2" thick wood lacquered frame with gold foliage design on black, brown chestnut color lacquered on woven reed basket. There are some small missing lacquer pieces on the trim and reed basket.

A lovely Japanese Kutani porcelain tea caddy with bird and floral motif accented with gold gilt on a pink ground. Measures 4.5 inches high and about 3.75" diameter.

10 Japanese Lacquer covered bowls with beautiful sprays of Chrysanthemums in gold and red colors continued from the top cover to the side of the bowl, 3 1/2" high with top on, 4 3/4" diameter-rim, gold painted wavy flowing water design under the cover. The condition is good, no damages.

Netsuke nicely carved to represent a man standing with a slightly mischievous expression and posture. Ivory, with a fine age patina. Japan, mid Edo Period. Height: 5.9 cm. Minute age cracks (absolutely no damage), slight erosion, otherwise very good condition.
