$175.00 Japanese Showa period monochrome green musen shippo wireless cloisonne vase decorated around the circumference with a band of flowers and scrolling foliage executed in layers of stacked enamel. Chrome rims. 8 1/2" high. Post World War II (circa 1945-1960s). Very good overall condition.
Japanese plique-a-jour cloisonne enamel vase densely decorated with a bouquet of flowers set against a celadon green background. Chrome rims. Dates from the Occupation period (1945-1960). Measures about 3 3/4"H x 3" diameter. Very good overall condition. There is a faint interior stress crack at the shoulder that cannot be felt (see enlargements 6 and 7). The neck is very slightly tilted.

Green, aubergine, coral, violet, white, yellow, dark blue and black enamel decoration of bird and flowers all on a light blue enamel background. Two faint, tight hairlines (in the blue enamel background) issue each about a half inch from different petals of the topmost peony blossom decoration, otherwise good. Height 7 1/4 inches (18.42 cm)

Tree-bark (Jitaisome Jippo) is a form of ceramic cloisonne in which the colors are done using lacquer rather than enamel. Using lacquer to cover the porcelain jar to resemble treebark, the wires are set into the lacquer to form the designs and the cells are filled with lacquer and polished. This lacquer is not fired. Dates from the Taisho to early Showa period...

Applied cloisonne flowers with a butterfly were achieved by using gold tone metal wires which were filled with colored lacquer and then hand polished. In excellent antique condition, it measures 13.25 inches long, 4.75" high, 2.25" high. Photos do not due justice to this large box, you will not be disappointed. Circa 1900's

$4200.00 This is a beautiful large Cloisonne vase from Japan. Besides the wire and wireless designs in the bamboo and rooster, the color of the ground color changes from top down to the bottom. The vase stands 12 inches tall and is not quite 6 inches wide. It has on minor flaw that could be factory and it is shown in the last image. It is an odd short line, that is difficult to see in the enamel under the bamboo leaves. A great piece that was probably made by Gonda or Ando.

On Hold This is a large and extremely rare Japanese Cloisonne vase. Though unsigned this vase was clearly created by Ogasawara Shuzo. As the images show this is a fabulous example of Meiji Era art. The vase measures 15 1/4 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches wide. Condition is outstanding but there is a tiny short line, of about 3/8 inch near the base.
