Decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a falcon perched on the bole of a gnarled pine tree, a band of lappets around the foot, and the rim with a continuous key-fret border, it is in excellent condition. The Kura
$750.00 A beautifully sculpted incense burner in the shape of a nesting crane dating from the 19th to opening of the 20th century, Late Edo to Meiji period). It comes enclosed in an age darkened kiri-wood collectors box. It is 12.5 x 24 x 16 cm (5 x 9-1/2 x 6 inches). Although not altogether clear there appears to be a possible old repair to the back of the head.

Sold in our Liverpool shop - 2018 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2018 A very finely painted Imari porcelain bowl, decorated on the outside with underglaze blue and over glaze iron red and with a central kinrande style panel of gilt floral scrolling.
The interior is painted in polychrome enamels and is decorated with the "Three Friends of Winter" - Bamboo, Prunus (plum) Blossom and Pine Tree and with a Crane and a mythological Turtle to the centre.
On the base is an iron red Fuku (good luck) mark.

$2,000.00 Japanese Arita porcelain square sake bottle with Dutch Kakiemon decoration. The bottle is square with a short waisted neck and everted lip. Each side is painted with unique images of birds, flowers and plants. The color scheme is iron-red, turquoise, blue and green with some gold. Minor wear consistent with age. Provenance: San Francisco collection.
