An antique bronze Yama Dharmaraja. Yama Dharmaraja is an emanation of Manjushri and is a Tantric Buddhist deity and a protector deity. The name means 'Lord of Death, King of the Law. Dharma is the law of cause and effect (karma).

A punch dagger with tapering double edged steel blade, each face decorated with a four-armed deity. Straight handle with double-grip, decorated on the side with flowers. Sheath made of wood with velvet lining. Condition: tip slightly chipped, sheath with losses. Some flash rust. Dimension: 44.6 cm long, 7.4 cm wide.

A North Indian pandan steel casket for offering betel. Of circular form with hinged lid, inlaid with flower scrolls in silver. Condition: interior with some oxidation. Dimension: diameter: 12 cm, 9.3 cm high, weight: 606 g.

Strand of ancient Afghani glass beads, circa Roman era. These are original beads (not re-carved bangles or glass vessel fragments). Some are decorated with gold leaf, others exhibit dichroism. Finely sculptured Ganesha bronze from West India, 17th Century, surrounded by a stylized aura ring, topped by a divine protective head and a beautiful engraved lotus flower base. This figure shows prolonged Puja (worship to the object) and a naturally formed patina. Very good condition, large size: H. 6.5" (11 cm.) Provenance: European Private Collection.

A Kushan gold necklace delicately strung with very small ancient lapis lazuli beads (approximately 24 beads to an inch). There are 12 gold coins with images of 6 ancient kings - six on each side. There are 2 kings that we recognize - one is Vasudeva I, the other is "Ohsho" holding an elephant goad, thunderbolts, a trident and a goat. The center bead is a oblong fluted gold bead. Ancient mask, beautifully carved in heavy wood, with realistic features, representing the face of a snarling tiger. Wood, with remnants of the handpainted polychrome decoration. India, Gujarat or Maharashtra, Kukana tribes, early 20th century. Height: 27 cm. The mask is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Old accident at lower jaw, very well restored locally. Acquired in 1974.

Statue of a guardian, with a large mustache, wearing a turban --- suggesting that the man belongs to the Sikh community --- and a uniform. Wood, with strong abrasion due to great age. India, 18th/19th century. Height: 37 cm. The statue is mounted on a custom stand. Arms and feet missing, otherwise good condition.

Thin, double-edged blade engraved with patters similar to foliage, base with one blade per each side, sharpened and with the same decoration. Bone grip and scabbard (parts missing) engraved with figures, animals and floral motifs, metallic mounts decorated with animals and floral motifs. Band with suspension ring similar to those of kindjal. Persia, circa 1900 length 59.5 cm.

The grip carved of elephant, bolsters lacking. The single-edged blade with gilt panels, signed AMAL ABDALLAH (Work of Abdallah) with upswept tip and showing evidence of wootz damascus steel. This is a bronze miniature figure of Sri-Lakshmi, a Hindu goddess from 16th-18th century India. The figure stands in a sensual tribhanga pose on a round base over a square plinth. Her right arm is extended, and her left arm is raised with a lotus blossom.
