Condition: some small losses (the front within the heart shaped decoration, cover with two missing granulation pieces). Slightly distorted areas. Dimension: 9.7 cm x 6.3 cm x 5.8 cm, weight: 111 g.

Rare Boti or vegetables cutter, like any good kitchen utensil this has a multipurpose function, as it can be used as a coconut scraper on the end of the hand forged blade. This one is circa late 19th century from Tamil Nadu. The end of the cutter has been made into the shape of a bird with “floral” patterns carved into t5he wood. Antique 18th century Islamic Mughal Warrior's Saddle of characteristic form from North-West India or Sindh-Pakistan. Details: The wooden frame cantle extending over to the rear and projecting to the frontal high arch pommel, reinforced with iron mounts and covered with brass sheets, riveted with iron studs and adorned with peacocks and fish.

CONDITION: Sign of usage and wear, iron mounting rusty, split in the wood cantle...
