This item was made in China during the Qing dynasty (1644-1908),possibly during the reign of either the Jiaqing or Daoguang emperors (1796-1850). Condition - good - no damages and no restoration...

SOLD Chinese antique scroll painting of pair of geese, one sitting on branch, the other fishing in the river with bottom up, wonderful detail, painted in ink and colors on silk, upper right dated "dinghai" (1767) inscribed and signed, by Zhu Genjai (1717-1790), three seals. Provenance: property of a North Bay Estate. Needs remounting.

Sold. A colorful back buzi with a bear for a man, denoting the fifth military rank. Silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic threads and painted details, the background covered by peacock feathers, which rarely survived to the present days. Blue silk lining. Reference: Ladder to the Clouds, Jackson & Hugus Berkeley 1999, page 197 - No. 13.018 very similar badge. Condition: fine, minimal traces of wear. Dimensions: 29 cm high x 31.6 cm wide.

Sold to USA - February 2012 售至美国 - 2012年2月 A large 16th Century Ming Dynasty deep dish painted in underglaze blue with grape and vine decoration to the centre and with alternating flowers and buddhist emblems around the rim. The underside is painted with elongated prunus branches under the rim and with stylized peach branches to the inside. The base is unglazed. This item was made in China, probably for export, in the second half of the 16th Century, circa 1550-1600...

There is a late Shang dynasty bronze You of similar form, described as a Xiao You (Owl You) in the collection of Shanxi Museum, Shanxi Province. Sold. An aquatint in colors by the famous Chinese artist Zao Wou-ki (Zao Wuji). He was born in Beijing 1921 and worked in Paris. Signed, dated '59 and numbered 32/95 in pencil. Condition: trimmed (die stamp of l'Oeuvre gravée only last 3 letters), slightly soiled and creased, reverse with annotations in pencil and traces of former mounting, one pinhole in image. Dimension: image: 39.6 cm x 44.5 cm, paper: 49.9 cm x 58.6 cm.
Very nice lobed porcelain Qingbai plate with carved peony decoration. China, Song Dynasty (960-1279). Diameter 16 cm. Condition: glaze is locally crackled due to age, there is age wear to the glaze. No damage or repairs.

From our Chinese Blue and White Collection, a very fine Kangxi Period (1662-1722) porcelain plate with flower basket motif, the border executed with cash diaper design interspersed with four vignettes of floral sprigs. This piece is export ware but still arguably "Chinese taste" given the understated elegance and restraint from over-decoration...

SOLD Beautiful antique bowl from the late Southern Song/ Yuan Dynasty, 12-14th century. The bottom of the bowl is applied with two scaly fish. The bowl is covered overall with a sea green tone glaze that is paler on raised areas. It measures 1.75" high by 5.25" wide.
