A well carved yellow ground jar, with cover, depicting two confronting dragons amongst clouds and flames above breaking waves. The base carries the seal mark - Wang Bing Rong - and was probably made, circa 1910-1920, during the early Republic period. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration...

An Yixing stoneware teapot bearing a rare seal "Li Bang Shui Ji" - which might be a retailers mark. There is a single hole inside the spout. This item was made in China during the Qing dynasty (1644-1908),possibly during the reign of either the Jiaqing or Daoguang emperors (1796-1850). Condition - good - no damages and no restoration...

Chinese antique scroll painting of pair of geese, one sitting on branch, the other fishing in the river with bottom up, wonderful detail, painted in ink and colors on silk, upper right dated "dinghai" (1767) inscribed and signed, by Zhu Genjai (1717-1790), three seals. Provenance: property of a North Bay Estate. Needs remounting. Size of artwork only: 18 1/4" high x 28 1/2" wide

A colorful back buzi with a bear for a man, denoting the fifth military rank. Silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic threads and painted details, the background covered by peacock feathers, which rarely survived to the present days. Blue silk lining. Reference: Ladder to the Clouds, Jackson & Hugus Berkeley 1999, page 197 - No. 13.018 very similar badge. Condition: fine, minimal traces of wear. Dimensions: 29 cm high x 31.6 cm wide.

Chinese carved spinach jade square shaped container, hand carved on each side with writing and flowers, stands on 4 feet, carved 1/4" thick so has beautiful translucency. Size: 5 1/8" high x 3 3/4" wide

A very nice Qingbai plate in the shape of a flower, the center with a very fine carving of a peony. China, Song Dynasty (960-1279). Diameter 14,5 cm. Condition: excellent with normal age wear.

Museum quality piece. The front decorated with two dragons and the flaming pearl, the back decorated with bats, the standing rim decorated with colorful flower bands, both on the inside and outside. China, 19th century. Dimensions: 22 x 15,5 cm. Condition: excellent. A similar tray can be found in the catalogue of the opium exhibition at Kunsthal Rotterdam (collection F. Bertholet and C. A wonderful example of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) burial gifts, this pair of glazed and painted pottery horses and grooms. Dimensions: W. 20 cm H. 17 cm. Condition: expected age wear, no damage or repair.

Beautiful early 20th century jade flask with fitted cap. There is an iris on both front and back of the flask carved in low relief with scrolling pattern. Small carved dragons on both sides with jade rings. Measures 10" long by 3" wide.

A large 16th Century Ming Dynasty deep dish painted in underglaze blue with grape and vine decoration to the centre and with alternating flowers and buddhist emblems around the rim. The underside is painted with elongated prunus branches under the rim and with stylized peach branches to the inside. The base is unglazed. This item was made in China, probably for export, in the second half of the 16th Century, circa 1550-1600...

A rare and unusual archaic style Jade carving in the form of a "double bird" You. There is a late Shang dynasty bronze You of similar form, described as a Xiao You (Owl You) in the collection of Shanxi Museum, Shanxi Province. This item was exhibited in the Royal Academy, 1973, and can be seen on page 72 of "The Genius of China" (ISBN 0 7230 0107 3)...
