SOLD A splendid Chinese celadon brush holder formed in the style of a scholar rock. The crackled glaze along with the celadon is a classical style that began during the Song dynasty and became popular among the ruling elite. A mark is found on the bottom of the pot reading, Jingxiu tang zhi which is the studio that made the piece. Age: 18th/19th century Size: Length 4" Width 3" Height 4.6"

Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period round form deep plate decorated in underglaze blue on a celadon-white porcelain ground with two deer standing in a rocky landscape under a pine tree with a bat flying at the upper left. Bats and deer shown together symbolize blessings and wishes for high rank and official salary. The pine is a symbol of longevity. Four bamboo leaf sprays are at the outer rim. The foot rim and base are unglazed. 18th century. 11” diameter x 2 3/8” high...

A covered box was uniquely decorated on the surface with black iron spots. The glaze was in bluish celadon tint and was suffused with whitish incursions in portions. It was preserved in perfect condition. Date:Yuan Dynasty, 13th Century. Width: 7cm.

Price on Request Beautiful Chinese brush washer carved in the form of two peaches , carved from a piece of lovely pale agate with yellow striations, intricate details of curling leaves and tiny bats inside the large peach and on the outside of the small peach, the bottom is carved with more little bats, the brush washer sits on a wooden stand carved in the shape of entwined lotus leaves. Mid 20th century.

Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period Dehua porcelain blanc-de-chine Guanyin dressed in a long flowing robe and adorned with a beaded necklace. The figure is seated upon a recumbent "hou" (Buddhist lion-like creature) and she holds a ruyi scepter. Her elegant face has downcast eyes. A faintly visible impressed gourd form seal mark is on the back of her robe. A custom wood stand is included. The glaze is a warm, creamy, glossy ivory tone. 18th century or earlier...

Chinese Qing dynasty compressed globular form porcelain brush washer covered overall in a rich flambé glaze with a jun-like quality. The base is has an applied bronze wash and the foot rim is unglazed. The edge of the rim is bordered with a thin, geyao type crackled white glaze. There is an old collector’s tag on the base. 19th century. 4 1/8” diameter by 1 1/4” high. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
