Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Kraak Porcelain Dish (20.5cm / 8")
This highly decorative and attractive "Kraak" porcelain dish was made at the Jingdezhen kilns during the Wanli reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. The pattern, in underglaze blue of good colour, features in its centre a winged insect amongst various plants and blossoms. Surrounding this are eight roundels containing, alternately, peach blossoms and precious objects... Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Kraak Porcelain Dish (Deer & Birds)
This attractive porcelain dish was made during the Wanli reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. It has a foliate rim and has been very attractively decorated in underglaze blue of very good colour featuring a variation of the "two deer in a garden" pattern. Although this pattern is well-known, in addition, around the rim, are various leaf & foliage patterns as well as three birds, a rare feature on such dishes... A nice Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl with depiction of a flower and bird. There is some wear and fritting and small chipping to the rim. No hairlines or repair. Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl - Birds (Ex. Grahame Clarke Collection)
This blue and white porcelain bowl was made in the 16th century. It is decorated in underglaze blue of good colour, the design featuring birds perched upon blossoming branches. To the base is a seal mark (not translated). Diameter 12 cm. It is in good condition. There is minor surface wear, some "fritting" of the glaze at the rim edge and a kiln scar at the top of the outer wall...

This blue and white porcelain bowl with flared rim was made during the late 15th - early 16th century (Hongzhi reign 1488 – 1505). The outer wall is decorated in underglaze blue with a honeycomb pattern. The central decoration is loosely based on a vajra (Buddhist sceptre) with various other decorations around the inner wall. It is coated in a finely-crackled glaze. Diameter 14.5 cm... Chinese 16th Century Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Dish (Phoenix & Mark)
This attractive porcelain dish was made in the second half of the 16th century, during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). It is decorated in underglaze blue. The central design features a phoenix standing in a garden. Around the rim are beribboned precious objects and peaches (the peach representing marriage as well as immortality and springtime)... Chinese Ming dynasty porcelain dish decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground with a hou in a central roundel surrounded by a band of peony flowers and scrolling foliage. One of the nine sons of the dragon, the hou has the appearance of a lion and is depicted roaring at the sky. A similar peony band with scrolling foliage encircles the rim on the reverse side. Circa 16th century. 9 3/4” diameter x 2” high. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs...

This porcelain dish was made during the 15th century. It has rounded sides and a "hole-bottom" base. It is decorated inside with, although rather indistinct, a "red biscuit" fish amongst water weeds that are in underglaze blue. Diameter 11.5 cm. There are some crackles to the glaze and the glaze to the underside has an "orange peel" effect with some kiln grit embedded within the glaze...

SOLD TO GERMANY Probably depicting an ancestor or a Taoist deity seated on a horseshoe back chair. H. 28 cm. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Very good condition with nice wear and patina. There is a repair to the left front leg of the chair. This repair was done in iron and seems to be a repair from the period of manufacture. Old collection number on the back. 17th Century: Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) Dimensions: 3" high Chinese Ming dynasty bronze standing acolyte on wood stand naturalistically pierced and carved to resemble a rocky outcropping. The left hand holds an object and the right hand gestures with two fingers pointing to the ground. The figure wears a gown and a headdress with long billowing ribbon scarves.
