Quirky glass ring emulating agate. This piece came from China but possibly is a trade object. I acquired this in a lot of other ancient pieces. A conservative dating to this is Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and guarantees it to this period. There is one crack as well as some bubble burst pitting on the surface. Outer D: 2.8cm and inner D: 1.9cm.

Chinese Qing dynasty rectangular jade openwork plaque, carved with a design of a deer under a pine tree, mounted into the lid of an early 20th century rectangular silver box raised on four feet. Two-character “chun yin” (pure silver) mark to the bottom of the box. The jade has a pale celadon-gray hue. The box measures 3 1/2" long x 3” wide x 1 5/8” high. The jade plaque is 2 7/8” x 2 1/4." Chinese meiping porcelain vase with blue and white design of scrolling vines, flowers and 5 dragons. Narrow at the base, tapering outward with high, wide shoulders and very narrow neck. A band of waves decorates the neck and foot. Meiping vases are traditionally used to display flowering plum branches. Quinlong reign mark on the bottom in blue.

A charming Chinese child's padded wind hat with the face of a tiger on the front. The tiger is a fierce animal which protects children from evil. Called a wind hat because of the protection it gives to the back of the neck, this hat is made of silk and embroidered with a butterfly on each side. In good antique condition, it does have some wear. Please study photos carefully. Colors are still vivid. Circa 1910.

Large by Western standards, this is actually the "childs" size version of this foo dog necklace worn by the Chinese Miao minority 70-90 years ago. Made of low grade silver, typical of Chinese jewelry of the time period, the intricate pendant is 5.5 inches across, 6.5 inches long and suspended from a long hand-made chain.
