$420.00 This Chinese vase comes from Canton from the end of the 19th century or perhaps the
first few years of the 20th century. The shape is termed onion neck for obvious
reasons and derives from Delft forms made in Holland in the 17th century.
The bright overglaze enamel colors are typical of export wares of the era
and the subject matter of boys with balloons containing characters
meaning "prosperity" and "good luck".
Elegant silver cigarette case, the lid decorated with bamboo. Inside marked "Tackhing", "90% silver" and a Chinese character mark. This silversmith was active between the late 19th century and early 20th century in Hong Kong. With original blue silk lined paper box, the lid with glass. Condition: few traces of usage, glass with breakage. Dimension: 8.2 cm x 11.7 cm, weight: 128 g.
An antique walking cane or parasol handle. Made of silver decorated with two dragons chasing the flaming pearl among clouds. Top with monogram. Unmarked, tested silver. Condition: top slightly dented. Dimension: total length: 30.6 cm.
A Chinese silver shield-shaped presentation plaque engraved with good wishes, mounted to conforming hardwood shield carved at crest with stylized flower and with easel support on the back. Silver plaque with indistinct mark. Condition: good, minimally dented at the edges. Dimension: 27.8 cm x 20. 6 cm, weight: 716 g.

Fine Cizhou image of boy carrying a lotus, this symbolizes the continued succession of sons. This piece is in pristine original condtion. High fired stoneware with very stable heavy glaze. H: 17.5cm/6.9in and W: 9cm/3.5in. Guaranteed to be at least Qing Dynasty but possibly Ming.
A beautiful limited reference book containing the collection of the Baur Museum in Geneva, Switzerland of "Chinese Jades and Other Hardstones", written by Pierre F. Schneeberger. Hardback with 22 color, 105 b.& w. photo plates, 26 illustrations. Brown cloth with dustjacket, printed 1976 in a limited numbered edition of 1600, this is No. 19. Condition: clean, dust jacket with little wear and yellowing. Dimension: c. 28.8 cm x 24 cm x 2.8 cm, 2 kg.
