$7,500.00 Antique Chinese tassels from the 18th centur, Sino-TIbetan. The tassels are inlaid gilt and lacquered iron with red horse hair, probably used as ornaments on a horse for the saddle. The decoration has fret key bands and an endless knot pattern. The tassles are displayed in a plastic case. The top of the tassle measures 4" long(10.2 cm).

Sold A pair of hanging calligraphy scrolls with a couplet verse inscribed signed with the name of the noted Chinese artist, Zhang Da Qian (1899- 1983) known for his traditional landscapes, lotuses, and human figures. The scroll expresses the scenery of the mountains and the plum blossoms in full bloom marking the return of spring. Age: 20th century Size: Length 68.6" Width 15.8"

There are many reproductions of this poster, but this is an original that I acquired in China many years ago. Jiang Qing was noted for being Mao Tse Tung's fourth wife and a member of the "Gang of Four." Size: Frame. 85.8 x 69 cm. Poster. 62 x 46 cm.
Condition: Normal ageing cracks and some minor repairs.

$7,500.00 A large and imposing bronze image of the Songzi Niangniang (‘The Lady who Brings Children’), a primary Daoist deity. Fine expression and details. Covered with a dark brown patina all-over. Ming dynasty, most probably Wanli period (1573–1619), a time when it is known that large number of Daoist images were made. ****H 38 cm. ****Condition: Generally very fine. Minor remains of cold gilt and colouring. One tip of a finger broken off.

SOLD Antique Chinese brush rest made of black glazed porcelain in the form of a lingbi scholar rock. Sculpted and drilled with holes and windows like a miniature version of the prized lingbi stone. This brush rest has five peaks, creating four areas in which to lay one's brush when it's not in use. Fitted with a carved hardwood base. The flat underside is carved with a six character Qianlong mark.
