A meadow landscape is beginning it's spring time blossoming of fruit trees and willows bear new leaves. Low mountains rise up in the distance and birds fly over a pond. Possibly painted by Lao Sholing who was famous for his depictions of horses...

$2,500.00 Antique Chinese bronze cylindrical container on three feet. Decorated with two groups of male figures which appear to be fighting. The scenes are set under pine trees bows with puffs of swirling clouds and rocks. The rim of the container is decorated with a key fret motif. The bottom is carved with an archaic three-character mark. Very heavy bronze with beautiful patination.

$2,500.00 Antique Chinoiserie gilt bronze clock. The clock has a beautiful lady adjusting her earring while looking in a hand-held mirror. She is ornately clothed in Chinese-style attire. The base on which the lady and the clock sits is decorated with Chinese/European motifs of pagodas, flowers and marine creatures.

sold This handle is in cast bronze with 2 welded sides and gilded. The carving is of the best quality and the sculptur is powerful, announcing an excellent artist. It must have been part of a very large censer or vase in certainly imperial cloisonné enamel that is somewhere.Certainly Kienlong period or earlier.
Hight about 22cm.

This impressive pottery horse was made during the latter part of the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386 - 534). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery and is quite "heavily-potted". Its surface has been cold-painted in a creamy-white pigment, good traces of which still remain. The horse stands upright and alert. On its back is a large integral saddle. Height 37 cm (14.5 inches)...

Antique Chinese pair of recumbent deer. Made of copper and cloisonné of multiple colored enamel. Each deer has a round opening and lid on it's back. They sit with hooves folded under and heads looking back over shoulders. Minor losses.

sold Cast bronze censer. Thick and heavy. It rests on 4 feet. The simply twisted handles seem to be part of the one and the same casting which would be a technical feat because I don't see any traces or rivets or welds. A frieze of stylized flowers surrounds the upper body. On the front part, the prestigious mark of Emperor Xuande cast in high relief is probably apocryphal...

$2,500.00 Antique Chinese porcelain plate with blue and white glaze design of a water dragon. Surrounded by clouds, the dragon holds a large pearl. The rim of the plate is decorated with waves. The back of the plate has a four character Chenhua mark 1464-1487. Old repairs.
