This is a very attractive large Chinese wood box with one large and three small shishi(lion-dog) on the porcelain. Old Chinese porcelain was used for this box. It has more of an antique look than in the pictures here. Actual measurements are 8 inches wide x 10 1/4 inches long and 6 inches high.

Description: A Cizhou porcelain dog was handcrafted by the rural potter. Intriguingly molded in a simple form and adorned with iron mottles on the surface, the dog stands on his feet in a cute way. Probably a toy piece for the children of the tribes people, this small dog still can be a joyful addition in your collecting fantasy. Obvious crackles were yielded due to age. Date: Yuan Dynasty (13th Century), Length: 6.6cm, Condition: The glaze fret was original and was happened before firing.

A nicely carved natural amber pendant of the hand of Buddha citron with a hole at the top so it can be worn as a pendant. The citron fruit may be given as a religious offering in Buddhist temples. According to tradition, Buddha prefers the "fingers" of the fruit to be in a position where they resemble a closed rather than open hand, as closed hands symbolize to Buddha the act of prayer. Large Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Painted Pottery Buddhist Jar with Sanskrit Inscription

This large pottery jar was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province.

It is made from a buff-coloured pottery and a very elegant example of its type. It stands on quite an elaborate integral pedestal with the lower body decorated with bands of applied lotus leaves...

Nicely squeezed and mold in shape and obtained the artistic interest.
Some similar pieces were found in Chinese documentation.

Antique Chinese skirt with green velvet panels embroidered with images of flowers and bats. It is very unusual to find these skirts with velvet panels. Measuring 39 inches long, it is in good used condition. There is some staining (water marks?)on silk areas, embroidered velvet panels in very good condition with the exception of one tear about 3" that can be easily repaired. Wear at hem border ribbon.

Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain covered box or jar with cover, Ca. 1850, 4 1/8" high, 4" wide-widest part, 3 7/8" diameter-top opening, drum shape box, top with raised nail head on the lower part of the box and the top.
